Select a comparison style
Select a preset or a customized style in a combo list. Once the style is loaded, the informations used in the comparison are checked in the 'Available informations' treeview and the order of columns listed in the 'Selected informations' grid. The informations integrated in the layout of the comparison grid (groups, sorts and filters) or / and into the construction of the associated chart (if there exists) are identified with a lock and can not be removed from the current style.

The preset styles can not be deleted & saved.

Create or modify a comparison style
To create a style, enter a name for your new comparison style into the 'Customized styles' combo list. Check the informations or group of informations from the 'Available informations' treeview that you want to integrate in comparison. These informations are automatically added into the 'Selected informations' grid. You can change the order of columns by clicking a selected information in the grid and clicking the 'Move ...' buttons : top, previous, next and end. To quickly reset the selected informations, click on the 'Delete selected' button . Moreover, you can use the 'Expand' button or 'Collapse' button to respectively view or hide all the available informations.

When you type an existing style name into the 'Customized styles' combo list, Invent Upshot loads automatically the corresponding style.

Delete a customized comparison style
To delete a customized style, simply click on the 'Remove style' button and confirm your choice.

Filters set
You can restrict the quantity of data generated in the grid of comparison by applying filters of reading. The filter section allows you to built complex chains by combining several conditions by column. When you click on a cell of the 'Filters' column, the window 'Filters building' is automatically showed and lets you manage the creation or the edition of the current filter chain. This chain can be composed by several parameters :

• Operator : Sets the logical operation between multiple filters (And, Or)
• Condition : Larger than, less than, larger or equal, less or equal, equal, not equal (>, <, >=, =<, =, <>)
• Value : Edit the value to filter (* or ? denote multi or single character matches)
• Prefix : Sets the prefix string to ignore for the filtering condition
• Suffix : Sets the suffix string to ignore for the filtering condition
• tiny/CAPITAL : Sets whether the value is case sensitive or not

Each condition of filter for the current column is listed in the 'List of conditions'. So, you can select and edit each condition separately with this list and the locale toolbar :

• : Initialize the fields for create a new condition
• : Add the current condition to the list
• : Replace the selected condition into the list with the current condition
• : Remove the selected condition of the list
• : Delete all the conditions
• : Apply the list of conditions to the current column

Build the comparison
By clicking on the 'Apply' button , Invent Upshot save the current style, builds and shows the grid of comparison. After the building of the comparison, you can edit the current style by clicking the button 'Edit style' in the locale toolbar of the 'compare grid' tab or select the line 'Edit criteria ...' in the contextual menu.

Like all other grids, you can change the layout of the comparison grid.

Update the comparison
If you check or uncheck some assets in the networks treeview after the building of the comparison, you can update the comparison by clicking on the button 'Update comparative' in the locale toolbar of the 'compare grid' tab or select the line 'Update comparative' in the contextual menu.
