Method of application
By default, all changes are reported immediately in the current grid. If you want to apply manually your settings, expand the panel 'Application method of settings' and uncheck the 'Realtime update'. In this case, you will need to click on 'Updating the layout' button .

Columns order
Use the ' Top', ' Left', ' Right' or ' End' buttons in the locale toolbar or in the contextual menu to move the selected column into the current grid.

Switch the visibility
Simply check to show or uncheck to hide the appropriate column listed in 'Columns'.

You cannot assign a group, a sort or a filter to a hidden column, moreover, you can not hide a column that has a group, a sort or a filter.

Groups set
Grouping means that identical cells within the same column are removed and shown as a grouping row with nodes for the other cells in the rows. Each group row indicates in its label the number of children rows. You can set the level by assigning a new index to add a group or an existing index to insert a group or change the order of groups. Select an empty index to remove a group.

Sorts set
You can set the order of sorting by assigning a new index to add a sort or an existing index to insert a sort or change the order of sorts. Select an empty index to remove a sort. Moreover, you can switch the direction of a sort by selecting the same index : Ascending, Descending.

Filters set
The filter section allows you to built complex chains by combining several conditions by column. When you click on a cell of the 'Filters' column, the window 'Filters building' is automatically showed and lets you manage the creation or the edition of the current filter chain. This chain can be composed by several parameters :

• Operator : Sets the logical operation between multiple filters (And, Or)
• Condition : Larger than, less than, larger or equal, less or equal, equal, not equal (>, <, >=, =<, =, <>)
• Value : Edit the value to filter (* or ? denote multi or single character matches)
• Prefix : Sets the prefix string to ignore for the filtering condition
• Suffix : Sets the suffix string to ignore for the filtering condition
• tiny/CAPITAL : Sets whether the value is case sensitive or not

Each condition of filter for the current column is listed in the 'List of conditions'. So, you can select and edit each condition separately with this list and the locale toolbar :

• : Initialize the fields for create a new condition
• : Add the current condition to the list
• : Replace the selected condition into the list with the current condition
• : Remove the selected condition of the list
• : Delete all the conditions
• : Apply the list of conditions to the current column

Init settings
You can replace the current settings by the default settings by clicking on 'Load default' button . For remove a complete set of settings like hidden columns, groups, sorts, filters or all, click on 'Init settings' button and select the desired set in the dropdown menu.

Search and print
Like all other grids, you can search a partial or a complete text by clicking on 'Displaying search bar' button and print the grid by clicking on Layout of printing' button / 'Print grid' button .

Save the settings
For preserve the layout, click on 'save settings' button . Otherwise, Invent Upshot lets you check 'save layout grids' (checked by default) in the confirmation window to automatically save this settings while closing the application.
